An Irish Toast

Print 🖨

Here’s to the Irish —
a timely toast!
Here’s to the folks
who can justly boast
Theirs is a heritage
filled with pain,
Sprinkled with laughter
and “raising Cain”,
Birthing a people
of stronger strain.

Here’s to their “blarney”
and native pluck!
Here’s to the shamrock
that brings ‘em luck.
Here’s to their wee folk!
May saint repay
Those who are proud
of the Irish way —-
Here’s to ‘em all
on St. Patrick’s Day.
