Little You Know

Print 🖨

Little you know as you
walk down the street
All of the cares of the
people you meet.
Hollow the joy that the
features may show.
Hidden ‘neath laughter
lies many a woe.
Little you know!

Fear, pain and conflict —-
companions of life —-
Fall into step on our
highway of strife,
Shadow us ever in all
that we do.
Should you believe
they select only you,
Little you know!

Little you know —-
but in that lies the start.
Look at your fellows
with that in your heart.
Then for their faults
you’ll more freely allow.
Where this might lead,
if you started right now,
Little you know!
